The steering committee of the UNESCO Chair on Engineering Education

 

The "Steering Committee" role is to make policies and monitor the chair's activities. The members of this Steering Committee consist of experienced professors of various fields of engineering disciplines at the College of Engineering of the University of Tehran

 

Composition of members

The members of the Steering Committe of the chair are proposed by the chairholder and appointed by the head of the College of Engineering for three years. The composition of the steering committee is as follows: The Educational Deputy of the College of Engineering

  1. Director of the Quality Assessment Center for the College of Engineering
  2. At least one representative from each faculty and independent group of the Collage of Engineering
  3. At least three senior or retired professors of engineering
  4. The chairholder (as the chairman of the Steering Committee)

Dutie

  • Approving regulations and instructions needed to achieve the goals of the chair
  • Approving the annual report and short-term, medium-term, and long-term plans of the chair
  • Policymaking and supervision regarding the fundamentals, methods, and policies related to the chair's activities
  • Making decisions for UCEE national, regional, and international relations and cooperation
