Collaborating Centers
The progress of engineering education in the country and the training of graduates equipped with the necessary skills to work effectively in industry requires consultation and interaction among all stakeholders in engineering education. Fortunately, over the past two decades, several infrastructures have been established to support this mission. These include the publication of the Iranian Journal of Engineering Education (IJEE), by the Academy of Sciences of Iran, the establishment of the Iranian Society for Engineering Education (ISEE), the holding of biennial national conferences on engineering education, the foundation of the Iranian Institute for Accreditation of Engineering Education (IIAEE), and finally, the establishment of the UNESCO Chair on Engineering Education (UCEE). Under these circumstances, the need to provide greater opportunities for consultation and collaboration among these institutions, on one side, and the providers of engineering education and the national industry, on the other, is increasingly felt. The UNESCO Chair on Engineering Education, by signing memoranda of understanding with stakeholders in engineering education, reflecting their activities on the Chair’s website, and organizing joint discussion sessions, creates opportunities for the exchange of ideas and findings among these centers. In this regard, all institutions involved in, or benefiting from, engineering education are invited to join this network, share their opinions and achievements, and take steps toward the advancement of engineering education in the country
Below is the list and scope of activities of the centers with which the UNESCO Chair on Engineering Education has signed cooperation agreements
