This program addresses two key questions: What is an Ombudsman Office? and how can one be established at a university or faculty? Providing quality educational services involves more than having experienced professors, skilled staff, and appropriate facilities. It also requires creating a conducive learning environment free from tension and conflict. In an educational setting, if the rights of any stakeholders are violated and there is no access to grievance redress, we cannot expect to achieve the desired educational outcomes. Establishing a dispute resolution office is crucial to promoting good governance within the academic environment. Most "good governance" principles support the need for a grievance redressal office in educational institutions.
