What are hard and soft skills? Which capabilities are essential for the post graduation? How can we develop these capabilities in students? These are some of the questions we aim to address in this session. University education is intended to prepare individuals for professional activities. The focus of university education is on teaching hard skills. Acquiring these skills alone, cannot guarantee professional success. The complementary factor is a series of soft skills and competencies that students must develop within themselves. University education aims to enhance knowledge, skills, and attitudes. In Iran, education focuses heavily on knowledge, and less attention is given to developing essential skills. Moreover, there is often no instruction on how to apply what has been learned in the real world. Graduates acquire these skills instinctively or after years of professional work through trial and error.
