Abstract: How to make sure that the educational program has coherence in the sequence of content, gradual increase in complexity, and the proper link between the components of the program? How to demonstrate the coherence of the curriculum to the stakeholders and the institution accreditingthe program? One of the best methods, in this case, is to prepare a curriculum map. What is a curriculum map? What are the steps to prepare a curriculum map? How are these maps analyzed and interpreted? What is gained from curriculum maps? A curriculum map is a communication and planning tool. These maps document what is being taught in an educational program. Curriculum maps are a tool for identifying gaps in the curriculum and providing information about the knowledge and skills students have acquired in previous courses. Curriculum maps prevent the unwanted repetition of teaching the same subject in different courses and increase useful teaching time by eliminating the repetition of previous subjects. Curriculum mapping contributes to the accreditation process of engineering education programs. At the end of this workshop, you will be able to: Describe how to achieve "curriculum alignment", familiarize with types of curriculum maps and explain their uses, prepare a curriculum map, and analyze and evaluate an educational program using a curriculum map.
