Abstract: The effectiveness of an educational program is measured by the achievements of its graduates. The first step of accreditation is the internal assessment of the program by the educational institution itself. Internal assessment begins by defining the outcomes of the program and the learning objectives of the program’s courses. Then, assessment methods are selected and used to collect data appropriately. The final stage of this process is to transform the collected data into information that can be used to improve the quality of the program. Internal assessment has a cyclical and continuous state, and the feedback from each stage affects the next actions. The result of the internal assessment is a completed questionnaire that is sent to the accreditation institute along with the supplementary documents. Internal assessment can be reviewed by the accreditation institute when it is done in a standardized way. The purpose of this workshop is to describe the method of internal assessment of the Iranian engineering education programs. This model, which was compiled according to what is currently used in the world and also considering the country's needs, is used as a procedure approved by the Iranian Institute for Assessment of Engineering Education (IIAEE).
