Abstract: In the past few decades, several methods have been presented to increase student learning in the classroom. Almost all of the methods are student-centered and activate the participation of students in the teaching and learning process. Active learning can be considered as anything that happens in the classroom to engage students with the material presented and increase student learning. Active learning methods are diverse and range from simple activities, such as asking questions, up to more complex writing activities, discussions and debates, and a variety of group and collaborative activities. These methods encourage students to be more involved with course materials and increase interaction between the students and professors. Utilizing the experiences gained in the application of active learning methods enables engineering educators to choose and use activities appropriate to the conditions of their courses and classes. Using active learning methods makes the class livelier, increases students' interest, and teaching achievements more tangible. Care must be taken in choosing active learning methods and activities that help all students learn. In this workshop, while getting acquainted with various active learning methods, we will practice implementing some of the leading active learning methods.
