Acquiring soft skills and future-oriented competencies requires the right conditions and environment for repeated practice. Student-centered learning is one of the most effective methods that provides opportunities for students to practice these skills repeatedly. In this session, we introduce the new course, "Introduction to Engineering," designed for the first year of the undergraduate engineering program. In the unique model for delivering this course, all course activities, including gathering, organizing, and presenting the content of each session, are carried out by groups of two or three students, and the other students evaluate each group's performance. The various sections of the textbook developed for this course address topics such as engineer and engineering, engineering communications, the engineering job market, research in engineering, and engineering practice.
