Why is engineering design important? How is engineering design done? What are the stages of the engineering design process? What tools are used in engineering design? How can we teach engineering design? These are some of the questions we aim to answer in this session. Engineering design is activity-centered and involves creating solutions that did not previously exist to serve society or specific sectors of it. Products, processes, and systems are the essence of all the solutions engineers create. conceiving, designing, implementing, and operating are the main stages of engineering work, and modern education aims to develop these abilities in learners. The objective of design is to develop and systematically test a new product's specifications, which should have a specific shape or demonstrate a particular function, meeting the objectives without violating established constraints.
