What is data? What is information? How is knowledge created? What is wisdom? Why is knowledge management essential? How do we manage knowledge in higher education? These are some of the questions this session seeks to answer. Today, knowledge is considered the most valuable asset of an educational institution. Knowledge exists in two forms: explicit and implicit. Implicit knowledge resides in individuals' minds and has not been documented. In any individual, organization, or society, implicit knowledge is much more abundant than explicit knowledge. Knowledge management is a systematic method for identifying, organizing, and sharing knowledge, which can ultimately lead to the creation of more knowledge. Identifying knowledge, gathering and organizing knowledge, sharing knowledge, and utilizing it are the key elements that constitute the knowledge management cycle. This program shares an activity related to knowledge documentation in higher education.
