Most instructors do not enjoy preparing exam questions and grading papers, and most students also tend to avoid exams. This session, along with a few subsequent ones, is dedicated to topics related to assessing learning outcomes. The questions we aim to answer in this session are: What are the types of assessments? How can we design effective assessments? How effective is each type of assessment?
