Students in a class differ in various ways. Just as fingerprints are unique to individuals, the way they learn is also different. Students acquire and process information in other ways. Educators, in turn, use various methods to teach and convey concepts. The best results are achieved whenever there is alignment and compatibility between students' learning styles and educators' teaching methods. Several classifications of learning styles in engineering education have been presented so far. In this session, a model for determining learning styles will be given while introducing learning and teaching styles, along with methods for better aligning of these two styles and increasing learning effectiveness.
