At UNESCO’s 2025 Digital Learning Week, themed “AI and the Future of Education: Disruptions, Dilemmas, and Directions,” the organisation emphasised the need for a human-centred and ethical approach to the transformation of education driven by artificial intelligence. The event aimed to strengthen critical and future-oriented thinking, foster multi-stakeholder dialogue, encourage co-creation of resources, and explore desirable futures for learning. Participants further stressed the importance of developing ethical and transparent governance frameworks, ensuring equity in digital access, promoting context-sensitive and locally owned AI design, and building a global dialogue for shared knowledge and policy action. UNESCO underscored that education should not only be shaped by AI but should also actively guide its development to uphold human dignity, social justice, and cultural diversity. more… (full article in Farsi)
