Accreditation of Engineering Education
The quality of engineering education is assessed through its accreditation process. Evaluation is carried out in two ways: 1. The educational institution conducts an internal assessment or self-assessment. 2. External assessment conducted by the Iranian Institution for Accreditation of Engineering Education (IIAEE). The accreditation outcome is a set of recommendations and improvements that must be implemented in the program to meet the requirements for obtaining a quality certification. Effective participation in internal and external assessment groups requires understanding the mechanisms of accreditation. The "accreditation of engineering education program" training course has been designed and implemented to address this need. This three-day course consists of eight educational workshops.
